Thanks to a coating and gas-filled cavity, HR++ glass insulates far better than single glazing: less heat loss, less condensation on the glass and noticeably less street noise. In many cases it fits the existing frames, provided the rebate is deep enough and the wood is sound — exactly what the glazier checks when measuring up.
